away home

away home interleaves together two sets of poems about language, writing, travel and family. It collects some older poems originally published in magazines or chapbooks, and combines them with more than a decade’s worth of poetic exploration.

Some of these poems, or earlier versions of them, appeared in or were published by Catalogue 5 (Silver Birch Press), This Place (Professional Vagrant Press), transentence (Runaway Spoon Press), yasser arafat is dead (above/ground press), 1cent, Alabama Dogshoe Moustache, DescantJacket2Lost and Found Times, New Canadian Review, Silver Birch Press, and West Coast Line.

I am grateful to the City of Barrie‘s Cultural Grants programme for support over two years which allowed important time to write and edit this work.
