2014–2018 Poet Laureate, City of Barrie. Second laureate for the City of Barrie, responsible for the promotion of poetry, the arts, literacy and the City.
2008–2012 Founding Chair, Barrie Arts & Culture CouncilA non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy on behalf of artists, analysis of cultural best practices and advising on issues related to arts and culture in the city of Barrie.
2010 Jury Member, Ontario Arts CouncilWorks in Progress programme, grants to writers.
2008 Jury Member, Canada Council for the ArtsEmerging Publishers programme.

1998–2004 Web Editor and Editorial Consultant, Coach House BooksResponsible for the design of the website, expanding the selection of online books, for special projects on the site, including audio and video, and general editorial duties.
